Nearly a century of craftsmanship

In motion for generations

Kasteel Metaal is a fourth-generation family business, with roots dating back to 1928. What began as a forge and welding company in Leiden grew into a metal construction company focusing on industrial applications such as ovens and heat exchangers.

Expansion followed in the 1970s, and the company moved to Zoeterwoude to meet growing demand. From the 1990s onwards, the focus shifted increasingly toward sheet metal working and the processing of steel and stainless steel. In the following decades, Kasteel Metaal invested heavily in the robotization and automation of sheet metal work, welding, and machining, resulting in one of the largest robotic welding facilities in the Netherlands today.

Since expanding to Alphen aan den Rijn, Kasteel Metaal has further developed into a supply chain partner for high-quality metal components and modules for OEMs and machine builders.
